My first ever song in a completely foreign language. I've loved Norse mythology for as long as I can remember—even naming one of my sons after it. That might explain why I find Marléne so captivating. So why did I choose Swedish over Icelandic? Two reasons: first, Icelandic is very close to ancient Norse, making it poetic but extremely difficult to translate cleanly. Swedish, on the other hand, is more accessible and carries meaning with clarity—though poor auto-translators can still lead to misunderstandings (we’ve had a few!). More importantly, Swedish sounds like music. It flows with a natural rhythm, refined through time by a culture deeply rooted in art, justice, and “Lagom”—balance. Marléne embodies that spirit. She shares her love of music with grace and gives it everything she has....thanks for listening...Macel🐦🔥🎶⚔️[english in comments]
