Here is another song from our list of favorites that was particularly close to Manfred's heart. Jethro Tull is truly an icon of this time. The rhythmic peculiarity of the 5/4 beat demanded a lot, but this was not unusual at the beginning of the 70s and in this song was implemented in a unique way. My aim of transporting this special sound into our time, and in particular to give this unmistakable way of playing the flute a human character, has succeeded quite well, even if it took a few hours to figure it out. Manfred plays bass, guitar and delivers a super polyphonic vocal part. The rest and the mix were my job. Thank you Manfred for the invitation and the exciting challenge. I hope you like our interpretation of the song. Enjoy the moment ...

Here is the next song, which is high up on my list of unforgotten songs. The original by Gerry Rafferty from 1978 is already unique and the Foo Fighters version is a real highlight. The sound is unmistakable with lots of power and drive. Manfred has sacrificed several broken guitar strings to deliver grandiose guitar tracks and a famous vocal part that is in no way inferior to the original. Spiced up with a rhythm section with plenty of punch, various other instruments and a plethora of effects, I think it's a really successful cover. I'd be delighted if you could write your impressions in the comments. Have fun while listing to it.

Here's a new cover that everyone probably knows. I've stayed very close to the original, apart from the instrumentation and vocals. What was important to me this time was the incredible soundscape of the piece, which was probably denied to it when it was released in 1975. This was only corrected with the remastered and especially the DTS versions, and I'm downright addicted to the latter. I hope you enjoy it.

Here comes another favorite of my youth. When you're constantly listening to The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith with 2 older brothers, this is inevitable. Later, having matured into a fan myself, I was able to experience him live again a few years ago. Simply fantastic. We tried to put this uniqueness, this perfection into every bar of this cover. I hope you like it.

Here is the next song of musical masterpieces that anyone who is interested in this period will surely recognize. Manfred sets the groove, which is reflected in the bass and percussion. It's amazing how difficult it is to interpret wind instruments and strings realistically. But it's an incredible pleasure to breathe life into them and I hope you enjoy listening to them too.
